Bereavement Programming for Children and Adolescents

The Hoofprints program is an equine-facilitated bereavement program specifically designed for children and adolescents who have lost a loved one. In partnership with our gentle herd of horses, our staff of professionals help participants safely explore their feelings of loss and sadness. Hoofprints allows for individualized attention and the ability for children and teens to work through the exercises in a way that is personally meaningful. Each participant leaves with a keepsake to help them remember their loved one, and subsequent sessions are available for children and teens who wish to further explore their grieving process with the herd.
