Herd Adventures at CTR
Our Gentle Herd of Ponies and Horses are at the heart of the work we do at CTR. They come in many shapes and sizes, have many different personalities, and have different lived experiences before they join our herd. That means, they have many different stories to tell! We came up with the idea of sharing their stories as part of a Children’s Book series in the summer of 2021. In 2023, we were able to put this dream into reality with the release of our first Children’s' Book, called Buttons Has Her Day, and it's available to purchase as a paperback through Barnes and Noble's website.

Buttons Has Her Day is the story of our smallest herd member, Buttons the Shetland Pony, as she learns what her purpose is here at CTR. She goes on a journey of discovery, and with the help of the people who care for her, she learns that she's got a unique ability to help connect people with the healing power of ponies and horses.
All proceeds from the sale of these books will go back into supporting the costs of CTR programming and herd care. We hope you enjoy reading them as much as we've enjoyed creating them. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts and all four hooves!
