Jewel - (foaled 5/20/2000?) In June 2021, Jewel was rescued by Omega Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation from a kill buyer in Pennsylvania. She was sent to auction after a hard life as a broodmare and work horse on an Amish farm ended. CTR adopted Jewel in August 2021 and allowed her to spend several months learning the herd routine and just being a horse. Our staff and volunteers dedicated their time and effort to eventually change her life into one of helping children and adults learn to ride horses. In addition to Jewel's beauty, her kind and gentle nature is one of her best attributes.
